Frances Hamilton Arnold
Frances Arnold, Ph.D, is the Linus Pauling Professor at the California Institute of Technology. Arnold's career has explored and expanded the intersection of science, technology, and public policy. In 2018, she was awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry for her work in protein engineering via directed evolution. In 2021, she was appointed by President Biden to co-chair the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST).
